City of Randwick Bicycle Wayfinding Strategy
The project was part of the NSW Government’s Active Transport program to design and develop a bicycle wayfinding strategy that will assist the implementation of bicycle wayfinding in the local government area.
Minale developed design, mapping, understanding of cycling behaviour, engineering guidance and cost estimates. The work comprised recommendations on materials, graphic layout, sign placement, sign orientation and fixing methods, destination hierarchy for implementation, sign family and sign selection. Recommended designs and principles were based on the City of Sydney Bicycle Network Strategy which was also developed by Minale.
Woollahra Active Transport Plan
The project covered a review of current walking provision in the LGA and a review of local, state, and national standards, guidelines and best practice for pedestrian signage.
Woollahra Bicycle Wayfinding Implementation Plan
The project covered the detailed audit of routes, documentation of signage locations, sign orientations and fixing methods and the signage schedule for 261 locations on 13 routes with a total length of over 16 km. Design, specifications, and principles were based on the City of Sydney Bicycle Network Strategy which was also developed by Minale.
