PROJECT NAME
The Rocks Sydney Heritage Access Strategy
LOCATION
The Rocks, Sydney, Australia
Part 1 Strategy and Recommendations
A document for the wayfinding and signage component of the master document issued by architects McIntosh & Phelps.
The document was informed by the routes and scope set out in the masterplan and contains the routes and proposed signage at critical locations.
The signs form part of the Legible Sydney suite of signs and an extension of this suite particularly for internal signage for east-west links in critical buildings.
Part 2 Route Planning, Masterplan and Kit-of-parts Design
Six routes were audited, photographed and analysed in detail, mapped with horizontal and vertical pedestrian circulation in the external and internal environment. Signs were located and described for function, location and sizes. Specifications are informed by the Legible Sydney system which was created by Minale Gerber (formerly known as Minale Tattersfield) with City of Sydney.
