PROJECT NAME
Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) Parkview South Site 68
LOCATION
Sydney, Australia
The aim of the project was to provide pedestrian wayfinding at the intersection of the urban centre and the recreational area of Bicentennial Park, developing the existing signage system for parklands and cater for increased pedestrian traffic in an evolving environment.
The analysis of the existing signage systems allowed us to introduce best practice wayfinding with carefully considered destination naming, “time to walk” information and heads-up mapping. The existing SOP map was graphically improved for clarity in an outdoor signage context. The overview map and detailed map feature walking/distance circles, keys and tabs to identify key destinations that lie beyond the area on the map.
